We are the Loveless Lab in the Department of BioSciences at Rice University, affiliated with the Rice Synthetic Biology Institute. We develop tools that let developmental biologists and cell engineers use DNA as an information storage medium. Our research pushes the boundaries of synthetic biology through creativity, collaboration, and innovation—advancing scientific knowledge and enabling new possibilities in biomedical research.
